Waltz with the invisible

Waltz with the invisible

The world just lived something tragic. People died alone. Everybody was confronted to their own loneliness. It is the moment to open our eyes to the invisible and pay homage to our lost ones. During the 2020-21 season, the company will develop its research process, that has been ongoing for two years, on loss and mourning in order to create a contemporary ritual to make the sacred accessible and celebrate the living!

Around a variety of forms to reinvent together, the company invites you to an artistic ceremony to heal our wounds and celebrate life. Let the unexpected arise !

This artistic permanency is also for us a strong engagement to be present for the artists we create this adventure with and for the spectators. Against the flow of current times, that rather call for caution and reserve, we will pay our artists on a monthly basis from September to December and commit even more with them and the theatres we are associated with to communicate with people, with the spectators that will be in the room but also those who won’t, and towards whom we will go.

Chers, a show and its audio description,
La Cabane de vent, a phone booth to speak with the dead,
La Cabane à secrets, a shack for children with a Kamishibaï theatre,
danced homages,
performances,
Festival of the Dead, funeral parades,
a podcast with various testimonies about loss and mourning…

In the Theatre, we know we can make everything appear or disappear. We believe that theatres can heal and offer a way to be together that is essential to our humanity. We know that people go to the theatre through bombs or after a tsunami, sometimes risking their lives for it. We think theatres have a duty to stay open.
